As a young girl growing up in the suburbs of Boston I always had my radio tuned into Kiss 108 fm, recording my favorite songs off of the radio with my cassette player so I could listen to them whenever I wanted. My parents had a cabinet record player in the living room and this is where I would play my mom’s records and dance around. Music was always a big part of my life. I started playing the violin in grade school and did so all the way through high school. In my junior year a bunch of us created a radio station that played on one of the local tv stations. My best friend & I had a radio show every Monday night from 6-9pm spinning 80’s music. We had such a blast doing it! I really wanted to become a DJ for a big radio station in the Boston area. That was my dream but I didn’t think I could make it out there in the big city. My father worked for a major airline, which is my other passion…travel, so I began working there myself and my career took off. After 26 years in the airline industry I decided to hang my hat up and take an early retirement. I moved to a resort ski town in Colorado because of the amazing outdoors. So here I am! I am excited to be here in this place today where I have circled back to what makes me truly happy & what makes me come alive! Here’s a great line from Madonna’s song Music that pretty much sums it all up “music makes the people come together”
